Fulbright goes to Albania

Congratulations to UNL alumna Elena Shomos for receiving a Fulbright to conduct research in Albania!

Elena graduated with a major in Global Studies and French. She won the David L. Boren scholarship last year to study in Albania, specifically increasing her fluency and studying the importance of democratic civic education with the locals.

With her Fulbright she intends to expand on this research with a qualitative study of the Center for Democratic Citizenship Education, a multi-year project designed to promote democracy in Albania and in the country's education system.

We are so proud of you, Elena! Read more about her at the full news story at UNL Today.
