The School of Global Integrative Studies (SGIS) will host a First Friday grand opening of the Eloise Kruger Gallery of Miniatures on May 3 at 3:00 p.m. The gallery is located on the eighth floor of Oldfather Hall at 660 N 12th Street, and light hors d’oeuvres will be served in room 827. The event is free and open to the public.
Faculty, staff and students have collaborated for two years to make the collection available to the public.
Unique to Nebraska, the Kruger Collection consists of fine-scale contemporary art miniatures representing four centuries of interior design history. Eloise Kruger collected most of the miniatures and commissioned many of them.
